The story

Two young figures look out from behind a dark wall, their hands resting on its edge. Both wear very tall golden headdresses crossed by dark marks. The one on the left wears a doublet split into white and orange with a green club, the card suit; the one on the right a dark waistcoat and pale sleeves with a blue zigzag.

The background is black, with a crackled texture. In the wall there are two small square openings. The signature is at the lower right.

Why this work?

This untitled work by Trino Sánchez is an acrylic on canvas measuring 45 × 45 cm: two figures in tall golden headdresses, one with a green club on his doublet, looking out from behind a wall on a black ground. A unique, signed work, in a gilt frame with velvet, selected by Pablo Vaca for EL ART DEALER for its mystery.

In your space

A small, black-ground piece: it gains on a pale wall, lit from close by.
