"La Tortuga" in a room
Room view — approximate scale on a 3.2 m wall

The story

«La Tortuga» is a marine painting in panoramic format. The composition is ordered in horizontal bands: pale sand in the foreground, turquoise water, a strip of island on the horizon and, above all, a cloud-filled sky. The elongated proportion heightens the breadth of the landscape and the sense of calm.

The acrylic modulates the blues and turquoises of the water with soft transitions, while light defines the horizon. It is a serene, luminous, signed piece whose very wide format makes it almost cinematic.

Why this work?

«La Tortuga» (2016), by Francisco Capote, is an acrylic on canvas measuring 60 × 160 cm: a panoramic seascape with a pale beach, turquoise water and a strip of island on the horizon beneath a cloudy sky. A unique, signed work, selected by Pablo Vaca for EL ART DEALER for its serenity and its panoramic, large-wall format.

In your space

Its very horizontal format makes it ideal above a sofa, at the head of a bed or in a long hallway, where the band of sea and sky unfolds like a window.
