The story
A nude female figure sits on the upper plane of a structure of thin bars that draws an open cube. The arms stretch back, hands resting on the edges; the head tilts up and back. The legs hang apart: one stays bent, with the foot pointing backwards, and the other drops straight down until the foot rests on the lower bar.
The contrast between the two materials is what holds the piece together: the full volume of the bronze, with its almost black patina and polished surface, rests on a frame that occupies almost no space. Air passes beneath and through it, and from any angle the drawing of the bars is visible behind the body.
