The story

A large circle fills almost the whole red canvas: inside it, a grid of pale dots that grow toward the centre and shrink toward the edge, so that the surface seems to swell like a sphere.

Around the circle runs a ring of dark dots, and outside it the grid continues more faintly to the edges. The available photograph is of low resolution.
