The story

This untitled work brings humor to painting with an impossible creature: a hybrid of dragonfly and cow perched on a green stem, cut out against a flat blue background. A thick black outline encloses saturated, flat colors in a pop key, while the crossing of species — insect wings and a bovine body — adds a surreal twist, somewhere between the playful and the dreamlike. The image is direct, graphic and unselfconscious.

Eduardo Molina uses mixed media on a horizontal format that follows the suspended flight of the figure. The firm line and full color bring the piece close to the poster and to illustration, without losing the painter's hand.
