The story

A storm of reds, oranges and browns fills almost the whole picture. At the right, a tiny figure in a long coat with a blue umbrella stands in a clearing of greenish ground, surrounded by three small bottles.

At the left, in the air, there is a star-shaped blue crack and, around it, written sheets of paper and dark ones flying in a swirl. In the background tall buildings with small windows can be made out, and on the left and right edges four-pointed golden stars shine.

Why this work?

This untitled work (2011) by Alexander Martínez is an acrylic on canvas measuring 84 × 144 cm: a tiny figure with a blue umbrella in the middle of a storm of reds and oranges, with papers flying, a blue crack and golden stars at the edges. A unique piece, selected by Pablo Vaca for EL ART DEALER for the force of its color.

In your space

Intense red in a wide format: it calls for a feature wall in a large living room.

Of the three works in the collection one can say what is visible: small figures in long coats with umbrellas, or with a trumpet, in settings of intense color with flying papers; one is signed «A MARTINEZ» and dated 2010.
