The story

This untitled sculpture presents a female nude of elongated, stylized forms, arched backward in a gesture of tension and balance. The figure holds a large hoop above her head, an element that crowns the composition and defines its rising silhouette. A green patina clothes the bronze and softens the volumes with muted reflections.

Carlos Prada models the bronze in pursuit of line and movement rather than anatomical detail: the body thins and curves until it becomes almost a sign. Set on a rectangular base, the piece reads well from many angles, with the hoop as its focal point. It is a bronze from an edition of 3/9, signed.

Why this work?

This untitled work (2010) by Carlos Prada is a bronze sculpture measuring 47 × 23 cm: an elongated female nude, arched backward, holding a large hoop above her head, with a green patina and set on a rectangular base. A signed bronze, edition 3/9, selected by Pablo Vaca for EL ART DEALER for its elegant synthesis of the figure and its sense of movement.

In your space

Given its scale and vertical format, this is a tabletop sculpture: it shines on a console, sideboard or shelf where it can be circled and seen against the light. Its green patina pairs well with warm woods and neutral backdrops.
