The story
A long-bodied figure with a small head holds a long, thin pole diagonally with both hands, one raised above its head and the other level with it. It balances on one leg on top of a column; the other leg reaches out diagonally to the side.
The pole reaches far out on both sides, so the piece is wider at the top than at the base. The patina is dark green, like that of the column and its round base.
Why this work?
This untitled sculpture by Carlos Prada is a bronze measuring 40 × 26 × 9 cm: an elongated figure balancing on one leg atop a column, holding a long pole diagonally. Selected by Pablo Vaca for EL ART DEALER for its balance and gesture.
In your space
It needs space around it because of the pole: a clear table or a wide shelf.
